Rachael & Durham Granted Russian Residency Status!

It’s not easy managing a charity when you have to leave it every three months, for three months – but visa restrictions have dictated that this is exactly what Rachael & Durham have had to do until recently.

When Rachael Hughes founded Living Hope 15 years ago, there were hundred, probably thousands of children living on the streets of Vladivostok. Today there is only a handful.

This Motherhood Business Is A Rollercoaster!

Durham and I spent many months running all over town last year in order to collect the large file of paperwork which was required for our application for our temporary residency status. Now after spending two weeks last month going to several different offices and completing several more forms, we now have our registration stamps in our passports for temporary residency status. Great news!

Now we are having to start the process all over again for Olive. What a nightmare!

BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT

Proudly announcing the birth of Olive Emily Pearce, born 22 November 2011 weighing in at 6lb 4oz (2.840kg).

A beautiful daughter to Durham and Rachael; and the newest member of the Living Hope Family.

Well it's been a while since you last heard from me. The login ability for me to update this site 'fell' off the webpage for a while. It is now back up and running - so hopefully I can keep you more in touch with what is going on in my world!
