Ahh the things that tug on the heart - I walked into the centre this afternoon after a day shopping for building materials and one of our resident babies was really upset. I took her into my arms and she instantly lay her head on my shoulder and stopped crying. I guess babies know when they are loved and by whom they loved! I love these moments. |

It was with sadness today that I had to say goodbye to our Motor bike boys. It has been so good having them around, their humour, their readiness to do any job, their smiles. But in true tradition - my girls waved them off as if they were Royalty, flags waving, music playing and singing songs. |

On this day 11 years ago we were officially registered as a Russian non-profit Orgnaisation. Although I have been busy all day, dealing with one drama

I got up this morning and made Anzac biscuits. The reason - tomorrow morning its my turn to provide for the morning tea, and I know that my staff love them. It was not till they were made and I was 'testing' one with a coffee, that I sat down

I was driving into work this morning and got stuck in a long traffic jam. I turned up the music and boogied on down to the local radio station. As I sat there a real sense of calm and peace came over me

We had an interesting drive to meet the guys, driving in the snow on some rather unfinished roads! After a four hour trip we were told that it would take at least another hour for the guys to clear customs. Little did we realise that actually meant

I felt that I was a truly blessed woman this morning. I went to church and around me sat 10 of my kids plus three grandchildren, all who regularly attend and whose lives have been transformed or are in the process of transformation. It was such a fulfilling moment that I sat there with tears in my eyes and a full heart. |

As I was driving to work this morning I saw my first accident and was surprised - it had taken 42 hours before seeing an accident - unheard of - I often saw 4 - 5 just in one day. I guess the new traffic lights are doing their job - makes you wonder why it took so long for the idea to catch on. |

Had to drive in to the downtown area today - something I usually dread because of the traffic jams and crazy driving. But imagine my surprise to find that they have installed traffic lights at two of the worst intersections! I was so excited that I could get through these intersections without fear for my life! Miracles do still happen! |

The first thing I noticed getting off the plane was the wind - and I thought - ahh I have arrived! There is nothing quite like a Siberian wind blowing in but at least this one was a little bit warmer than usual - nowhere like the minus 40 degrees wind chill factor of a bitter January wind. Am so grateful that I got to spend that part of the year in the New Zealand summer this time round. |
