It was sad today as we had to say good bye to Kolya one of our residents who has been with us for the last few months. We have known Kolya for 13 years
but he came to us after the last seven years in prison. He had been a great help to us doing odd jobs around the centre, digging paths through the snow, cleaning vehicles and what ever else needed doing - always with a joyful heart.
He also found employment and has been enjoying working renovating apartments. But Kolya's main problem is with alcohol. This is one thing he has not yet been able to overcome and the drunkenness has led to him having to leave us.
It is sad - and we hope that he will go to the Rehab centre as he has promised - after his birthday, which he really wants to celebrate first as it is his first birthday in seven years in freedom. |
